Abstract

The research led by Alex Gagnon is the first to analyze the impact of legendary crimes committed in Québec on the collective imaginary and memory. The study focuses on literary, historical and ethnological elements to elucidate how the crimes became legendary. His work develops a rigorous theoretical reflection on all social representations and may serve to bridge academia and the public and help sustain tourist routes.
