FRQSC ethics committee

The Fonds de recherche du Québec - Société et culture (FRQSC) Ethics and Scientific Integrity Committee is a standing sub-committee of the FRQSC Board of Directors. Its role is to make proposals to the Board of Directors for research ethics guidelines and the promotion of good practices adjusted to the changing research landscape in the social sciences and humanities, arts and letters. It also looks into any ethical issues raised by the evaluation committee and carries out any other mandate relating to ethics and scientific integrity entrusted to it by the Board of Directors. However, this committee does not examine funding applications and does not conduct any other type of research project assessment or review.

The 2013-2016 work plan of the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Société et culture Ethics and Scientific Integrity Committee addresses the following themes: the responsible conduct of research, partnerships, ethics training and intellectual property. During the same period, the FRQSC Ethics and Scientific Integrity Committee will also consider the ethical issues tied to emerging research areas in the social sciences and humanities, arts and letters, such as the issues raised by arts and creation research.
