An incomplete application that do not contain the information necessary to establish eligibility or which cannot be evaluated will be deemed invalid by the Fonds.
Documents received after the deadline for application will not be considered.
Applicants must create an E-portfolio on the Fonds website before applying, if this has not already been done. Individuals who already have a personal identification number (PIN) have direct access to a FRQnet account and must update their E-portfolio.
The e-forms will be available on the Web site of the Fonds at least one month before the competition deadline. Only forms filled out and submitted online are accepted.
As indicated in the CGR (article 3.6), the e-forms may be filled out in French or English. However, the title and abstract included in the application must be written in French. This information will be used by the Fonds for promotional and dissemination purposes.
Any documents that are not required and which are included with the application will not be submitted to the evaluation committee.
Only forms filled out and submitted online are accepted.
The following e-forms and documents must be transmitted before the competition deadline of
October 5 October 6, 2017, 4:00 pm.
the "Research-creation support for new academics" E-form;
the Canadian Common CV and its "Detailed Contributions" attachment.
With the exception of the portfolio, which must be sent by mail, only E-forms and documents transmitted electronically will be accepted.
No reminder will be made and no document may be added after the contest closing date and time.
Applicants will not be notified of any information or documents missing from the application.
3.2 Required documents
The following required documents must be scanned and included with the application e-form in the attachments intended for that purpose in the "Détails des activités" section, as described below.
A) Attestations and description of artist's portfolio
In addition to completing the various sections of the form, the following documents are required and must be transmitted from the ''Autres documents'' section :
A letter from the university attesting that the applicant holds or will occupy a full time regular position leading to tenure by June 1, 2018. The letter must specify the date on which the applicant will be hired as well as the position held and attest that the applicant will remain in the employment of the university for the term of the grant. No other document will be accepted.
If applicable, proof of registration or invitation to participate in a workshop, lecture, colloquium, meeting, biennial arts festival, festival, symposium or any other event of this type.
If applicable, appropriate supporting documents attesting to the circumstances of any leave, in the case where an extension of the eligibility period is requested for family or health reasons.
Description of the achievements presented in the artist's portfolio linking each one to the research-creation project (mandatory).
B) Artist's Portfolio
The applicant must send the following mandatory documents by mail:
Three copies of a portfolio of artistic achievements that illustrates the applicant's artistic accomplishments as they pertain to the proposed project (may include a press kit). The portfolio should include a table of contents for quick reference.

The Canada Post postmark or the dated stamp of a messenger service will be considered proof of delivery before the deadline.
The Fonds is not responsible for any loss or damage of any nature to the portfolio. It will only be returned to the applicant if it was sent along with a preaddressed stamped envelope or box. Otherwise, the portfolio will be kept by the Fonds for 90 days after the date on the letter announcing the results, after which the Fonds will dispose of it.
Any missing documents will render the application ineligible. Until agreements have been signed with the managing institutions under the Policy for the Responsible Conduct of Research (PRCR), a copy of the certificate of ethics for the use of human subjects, human biological materials or animals as part of the project is required on the issuance of any grant, if applicable. Payment of the grant is contingent on the submission of the certificate and related documents.
